I grew up in a small Northern Ontario town with 2000 people, graduating with only 12 other students. Upon graduation I went to school at the University of Ottawa to pursue my Bachelor of Arts Major in English Minor in Music. Here I became highly involved in student politics and philanthropy through organizations such as the Undergraduate English Students' Association and the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa. After my second year at uOttawa I was given the opportunity to travel across the country and transfer to the University of Victoria.

After a year of adjusting to BC and the UVic campus, I can comfortably call this place home. I am currently in my 4th year of my English Major and Art History Minor. At UVic I have been involved with the English Students' Association and the University of Victoria Student Society which has been both educational and rewarding. With graduation coming up I am getting closer to pursuing a career in education, philanthropy, and community/international development.

Volunteering is a large and important part of my life. I am currently working on starting my own educationally based charity, but also spend my time volunteering with organizations such as Canadian Blood Services, Students' for Literacy, Canadian Cancer Society, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, and Learning Disability Association of British Columbia.
