About Me
Hey there!
I am currently an MD-PhD student at McGill University, in the PhD portion of the double program. My doctoral research focuses on cancer metabolism.
I am very interested in education and I aspire to be a surgeon-scientist. When I am not in the lab or hospital, I enjoy being outdoors, be it going hiking, walking my dog or biking. I love to travel whenever I can as well!
I am grateful to have great mentors, who have provided me with invaluable insight, advice, perspectives and support throughout my academic training thus far. My goal as a mentor with the NSN is to hopefully pay that forward and help you in any small way I can with your academic path, whatever that may be! I am always up to chat about anything related to graduate school, medical school, MD-PhD programs, so please feel free to reach out!
What are some of your accomplishments?
I am the recipient of both the CIHR Master's (2014) and doctoral awards (2018), I was also a recipient of the MD-PhD FRSQ award 2018 (declined). Governor General Bronze medal (2007).
What are somethings you would really like to share with others?
Your habits are everything. Compassion, including self-compassion are essential. Kindness is a beautiful thing.
What are you passionate about?
Surgery, medical research, mentorship, education, and seeing as much of this world as I can!
