Innovate at MedHacks 2017 with the Brightest Minds
MedHacks is a hackathon hosted on September 8-10, 2017 at the John Hopkins University. The hackathon will feature global experts on medical fields! Non-travel reimbursement applications are due August 25, 2017. The applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so if you are interested, feel free to apply early! Thank Seniors Through Chatting to Wellness
Chatting to Wellness is a non-profit organization that connects youth with seniors to improve the mental health of seniors . by harnessing the power of conversation. Chatting to Wellness provide friends to seniors through one-on-one Chatting Sessions at retirement homes, long term car, and nursing homes, in Hamilton. Conversations provide the most basic human care to those that are neglected, because small changes accumulate and a collective effort makes a difference. TKS Toronto: NOW ACCEPTING NEW STUDENTS
The Knowledge Society (TKS) Toronto is launching its third session of its highly sought-out after-school innovation program session. Their curriculum covers a wide range of topics from cryptocurrency to genomics, augmented reality to self-driving cars.The program enables students to meet leading professionals in all the tech fields, attend high level conferences, and obtain internships through personal networking. Students between the ages of 13-17 should visit the TKS website for more information. Application deadline: August 27, 2017.
Join the Mathstronauts Crew
Mathstronauts is an after school program that allow middle school students to gain exposure to STEM and new technologies including 3D printing. If you are a student over the age of 16 in Hamilton, consider volunteering! You will help teach and mentor your younger peers over two terms at various middle schools. Hack to the Top at MHacks
MHacks is a hackathon held at the University of Michigan between September 22-24, 2017. The event will feature android development, VR/AR, Game development, hardware, iOS development hacks for all attendees.
